Ina Boyle was an Irish composer whose prolific output spanned opera, ballet, choral, orchestral, chamber and vocal works. Her style blended late‑Romantic influences with Irish folk elements, producing music noted for its seriousness, introspection and lyrical harmonic language. A pupil of Ralph Vaughan Williams, she composed throughout her life despite significant isolation, leaving much of her work unpublished and underperformed.
